More than 100 bright, talented people will come together to develop and launch 10-12 companies in one marathon weekend. Friday night, the group will vote on ideas and choose the top dozen or so. After that, each participant will choose an idea/team to work on and spend the rest of the weekend putting everything together for a launch. When all is said and done, each participant will be a co-founder with an ownership interest in at least one honest-to-goodness startup.
We need all kinds of participants! We need idea people, marketing people, design people, technical people, business people, etc.; everyone can put their skills to work in creating these new companies. And this is a perfect time to try out something new - techies who’d like to try graphic design or accountants who’d like to try a little marketing, this is an excellent opportunity to expand skill sets
Startup Weekend Ann Arbor is a true volunteer effort - we’re bringing the event here largely by the will of the loosely organized, without the benefit of a backing organization. We need your help! Have a few hours to devote to planning and organizing the event? Have some resources we could borrow for the weekend? Have a few extra dollars you could donate? Would your company like to sponsor part of the event?
We need all of the above to make this a success. The original impetus to bring Startup Weekend here is to continue to demonstrate exactly how cool the Ann Arbor area is and showcase exactly how much talent we have lurking here, waiting to be tapped. If you believe in that goal, consider pitching in to help - you can contact Laura at mitten at gmail dotcom to coordinate efforts. And be sure to sign up and secure your place for this life-changing event!

I had registered for this event June - 20-22 and am unable to make it due to some circumstances.
Can I please get further information about the event and the companies formed… if possible.
Also if this event is periodic in nature I would like to be informed about the next aoocurence please.
Thanks,
